AriadnaPress, Sept. 30. — Exceedingly well-informed sources disclosed to us on condition of anonymity the reason for the unusual traffic of tinted-window limos at ex-president GW Bush’s residence yesterday.

It appears that the highest (some so high they cannot even be seen from the ground) echelons of power in the US (some of whom live abroad) are in a state of confusion bordering on panic regarding Putin’s intentions and motives, not only in Syria but at the big global chess table.

At a loss not only to predict Putin’s next move but unable to explain Putin’s current actions (all of which are damaging to the civilized world), they are unable to formulate instructions to give to Obama.

This opacity of Putin’s –as they see it — is not new. Unable to “get” him, they consulted body language specialists years ago. They poured over videos and analyzed his gestures. Again and again and again. To no avail. They spent large sums of money commissioning reports from expensive Israeli iris reading specialists who returned equivocal results.

Our sources inform us that their latest (if not last) hope is G.W. Bush! Yes, you read right. Bush claimed at one point to have looked into Putin’s eyes and seen his soul. Ridiculed at the time as an idiot’s statement, that claim has been resuscitated and the decision was made to extract as much information as possible from the ex-president to find out what exactly he saw in Putin’s soul.

“I do not need to explain why I say things. That’s the interesting thing about being president.” –as quoted in Bob Woodward’s Bush at War

Our sources estimate that it will take some time before the linguists (already at work under Chomsky’s supervision) will conclude their evaluation of the information GW shared with the important visitors.

It appears that age has added a sybilline touch to Bush’s diction. Only superficially folksy in that endearing Yogi Berra way that made some voters want to have a beer with him, his sayings have become even more cryptic than before. The only solid, unequivocal advice they took away from GW was, “Don’t misunderestimate Putin.” He appeared pleased to assume his elder statesman role, was affable, and at the end gave everyone an autographed sheet with what he called “the internets” link to a collection of his most famous statements.

Putin’s eyes, for now, continue to be an enigma. Which means Syria is slipping away. And maybe a lot more.

  1. There is nobody worse on this planet other than Nutenyahoo as W Bush.

Drunken bumb ,spoiled moronic scion of a third rate connected family, who serves the first rate elite…Jews.
Without name, and inherited money he would of died in the gutter. Instead, he made others just die.

The biggest insult to me,about this creep is that I should fall for his ” common man” bullshit.
I don’t want to ;” share a beer with him”- as I don’t drink it, or take anything else for that matter.

He belongs deported to a sovereign free Iraq, and placed in the same cell Saddam was .
Put on trial and face justice.
    He,and all his pet Jews.

  2. “At a loss not only to predict Putin’s next move but unable to explain Putin’s current actions (all of which are damaging to the civilized world),”

The “civilized world” is actively attacking sovereign nations, assassinating leaders of those nations. and supporting the oppression of the Palestinians.

Putin has the “civilized worlds” panties in a knot.

  3. They say drowning men catch at a straw. I wonder what the leaders of the “civilized world” might do when they are terrified. Catch at a straw, or press a button? Well, we democratically elected them, and they are persons of honour, so surely they will do what’s best for us ordinary people. I mean, that’s what democracy’s all about – of the people, by the people, for the people, and all that. You had me worried there for a while, but all is well, we are in good hands.

  4. It is said that Tony Blair that nice guy looked into Bush,s eyes his whole life changed . Out came the words -Muslims are “terrorists” his visits to Israel and rich Jews increased words flowed like-invade Iraq ! and protect Israel . Strangely he went from Millionaire to multi millionaire I am sure we can learn here tours of the World followed (of the English military ) as it followed his eyes into may countries Bush didnt like but it has now been proved that dogs Really do love the Masters so we should expect this .

  5. The problem is that American Intelligence (now there is an oxymoron) Services cannot grasp a simple concept. Yeltsin’s reported last words to Putin were “protect Russia”.
Such things as final words are important to people with integrity, which may be why American politicians and military do not understand it.
Putin will do anything and everything to protect Russia and its’ peoples. He can see the closing encroachment. He knows that the world’s corporations have envious eyes on Russia’s resources. He knows that using Wahabbis and Takfiris to do the corporates dirty work has been the method of the USA has used against Russia since the 70s. He knows that after Syria will come Iran and then the Central Asian republics, followed by southern Russia itself.
Whether he likes or dislikes Assad, whether he agrees or not with Iran or Iraq, is irrelevant to him, his only question is “Will this protect Russia?”.
He has determined (after the Libyan betrayal) that Syria must not fall to American interests. He does not trust (or like) the Americans. It is not about the oil pipeline, or about dominance, power or hegemony, it is about the survival of Russia.
In the fear of American domination and destruction, he is joined by nearly all countries of the world. Only Russia and China are now strong enough to openly defy the USA. They have joined to set their own “Red line” and unlike Obama, they mean it. The rest of the world, including the so-called American allies, are sitting on the sidelines, but it does not take a genius to work out who they are rooting for.
They have tried talking nicely, they have tried accommodation, they have tried and tried diplomacy, American pushes it aside like a schoolyard bully. On your own head be it.
America and Americans would be wise to remember that at the end of the second world war, there was an episode called “The Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal”, even now 70 years later people who did nothing more than be conscripted to be prison guards are being “hunted down” and tried. the defence “Nothing we did was unlawful” got them nowhere. The defence “I was only following orders” got them nowhere.
After the occupation of Germany, under American direction, 13 million Germans (9 million of them civilians and 7 million of them, women and children) died from neglect and deliberate starvation under President Eisenhower. Since then Millions more have died from wars instigated by America.
I would direct your attention to Henry Wordsworth Longfellow :
“Though the mills of God grind slowly, yet they grind exceeding small; Though with patience He stands waiting, with exactness grinds He all.”

  6. Just looked up “misunderestimate” in the dictionary. It says “See President (Ret.) G. W. Bush” . . . who woulda guessed ??
