GERMANY – Plot to bomb Israeli Embassy in Berlin

Two German Muslims have been accused of planning to bomb on the Israeli Embassy in Berlin.

The men, both aged 21 and thought to be Palestinian, were arrested in June while trying to build an explosive device with firerackers, and brought before a German court on Wednesday.

They were accused of “preparation of an act of violence that would gravely endanger the security of the state”, planning to carry out an attack on the Israeli embassy or another Israeli or Jewish institution.
