HOW SHALL I PARDON THEE? –Jeremiah 5:7(1-31)
“How shall I pardon thee for this? Thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by
them that are no god: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed
adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots’ houses.”
Wow, what a chapter! Why do they need pardon? (Jeremiah 4:31) tells us that
they have committed murder but how would this speak to us today since these
are our examples: 1 Corinthians 10:6, 11? (5:7) tells us that they have assembled
themselves in harlot houses. Question then is: Who is today’s harlot houses?
Revelation 17 says this harlot (whore) now sits upon many waters and has on
the purple and scarlet. The beast is scarlet and that is ‘the color of red blood.’
Purple represents religion so this is the modern day church that has tied on to
the government (501c). Jeremiah 5 said God fed them to the full. They were
given everything but then they turned and committed adultery. 1 Peter 5:13
gives us a better glimpse of this whore for she has the name Babylon.
Revelation 17 calls her mystery Babylon because the modern day church never
saw this tied to them. No wonder John in Revelation 10:10 got sick.
WHO DID THEY SWEAR TO THAT HAD NO GOD? (Jeremiah 5:13, 26,28, 31) says
to those prophets and priests that rule over them and are wicked men. They are
compared to a cage full of birds that are deceitful and have waxed rich and
great. Revelation 18:2 says an unclean and hateful birds of every kind.
(21, 23) says they have no understanding of all this and now have a revolting
and rebellious heart. In other words, they now have (3) faces harder than a rock
and can’t believe God would bring judgment to them (5:12,14) but they are
about to get devoured by God.
Jeremiah 5:15, 16; “Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel,
saith the LORD: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation who’s
language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.” They are
going to eat you up. It is not the pure language that is of Christ’s but a language
of those who want to destroy and murder in the name of God (Zephaniah 3:9).
They are those who preach another god. A god of war and murder. This nation
of people are now in place and will come against any who go against what they
believe or want. They will produce laws of the land and Joel 1:1-13 tells us that
when one tries to escape they will run into another of these murderers.
That nation is physical Israel and those in church’s that are bowing down to her every need and want.
