ed note–we hasten to point out again that Purim and all its ugly, violent, anti-Gentile behavior is not something originating in some passage from the Talmud, but rather from the Old Testament, along with all the other passages from Deuteronomy, Numbers, Joshua, etc, etc, etc, advocating the wholesale slaughter of entire civilizations standing in the way of ‘God’s chosen people’ attaining their agenda.
I imagine there are many other events buried (or not) that concur with this “holiday”. (Holy day?)
