I believe that the proper posture for all of us is to consider logically what it was hat Jesus had to say–
‘A bad tree bears bad fruit…’
This includes the fruit that appears ‘safe’ or at least harmless, but which in fact is as deadly as those pieces of fruit whose poison is obvious to the naked eye.
EVERYTHING that these people have ever conjured up is a lie, the tall tale of their ‘enslavement’ in Egypt being one. If there is any truth to it, it is more than likely that the Egyptians figured out that they were crooks, shysters, pimps, etc, etc, etc, and forbade them doing anything other than honest work.
Judaism needs to be viewed as an addictive substance and therefore, the only way to ‘cure’ an addict is that he/she must have NO contact with it whatsoever, not even the smallest micro-gram.
For those who desire Christianity, Jesus is enough, as evidenced by the Roman centurion who believed in Jesus and whose servant was healed. Jesus’ response to this pagan who knew nothing about Judaism–‘Not in all of Israel have I found faith this great’.
