New poll shows Israelis overwhelmingly believe incoming Trump administration will be pro-Israel.
ed note–a quick title search of the articles just on THIS website where Jews–both in Israel and abroad–overwhelmingly rejected a Trump presidency during the campaign–

–I stopped way short of listing the additional articles numbering in the dozens of identical pedigree appearing on this site, but you get the picture. The Jews were 666% opposed to a Trump presidency, but now that it is (almost) a done deal, they need to schmooze their way back into his good graces and hope they can make him forget about the attempted assassination of his candidacy.
I would live to see trump clean house but I have to remain cautiously optimistic at this point. He is heavily invested in businesses and family with the juz, namely the chabad libavitch , and that no doubt will have a great influence within his decision making. The next yr is going to be very interesting indeed.
ed note–for the record Colin, I am not optimistic, cautious or otherwise, as I know all too well the kinds of forces that are arrayed against Trump and the pressure points they intend to squeeze in order to break him to their will, and if that fails there is always the 9/11 or the JFK option they can utilize.
In short, I liken the entire Trump phenomenon to someone who has smoked 4 packs of cigs his whole life, only to learn at the age of 70 that he has lung cancer and he is going to die within a few weeks and who then launches into a crash course of trying to reverse the previous decades of poisoning his body.
Hoping to mentally manipulate Trump.
Starting with projection/flattery.
No shit…..look at his son in law and daughter and it’s all pro Israel. I’m NO believer.
The Jews are either at your throat or at your feet.
Time will tell what he REALLY intends to do. I will not be surprised, one way or another.
Trump would not be any different from previous presidents. He will be as pro-Israel as many before him.
YOU NEED to REALIZE that the US has a serious POLITICAL CANCER called election campaign funding. As long as those Zionists spend lavishly on buying the Congress, they will control the American Admin.
Trump will not honor any of his promises unless the Oligarchs/Zionists approve it.
They will give Americans some crumbs to distract them from KEEPING the whole country UNDER THEIR CONTROL.
What did the congress do with Iran recently? Imposed sanctions for another 10 years, trying to continue confrontational, NEOCON policies.
ed note–if this were the case, the world would not have been subjected to the year-long screeching campaign on the part of Israeli partisans who were absolutely determined to sink his chances at President.
Now, is Trump going to come out on Inauguration Day with both fists swinging, rounding up Zionist spies and throwing them into jail?
No.
Will US aid to Israel continue?
Yes, but with conditions.
Will the US continue to support Israel in the UN?
Yes, to an extent, but with conditions attached.
Will Trump rubber stamp all Israel’s demands vis a vis war with Iran, Russia, and the continued arming/training/supporting of groups such as ISIS as has occurred under both the Bush and Obama administrations?
No.
And perhaps this is the best way to understand the entire Trump/Israel enigma–Israel will continue to be there, but the relationship that will exist between the US and the Jewish state will be on America’s terms, not Israel’s.
That is the best way to explain/understand what Trump’s presidency means and what he intends.
Will he be successful in all of these endeavors?
Probably not, because as soon as a nuke goes off in America and it is blamed on one of the usual suspects, Trump will find himself in the middle of something that is beyond his control.
I tend to agree w Andy on the issue of election campaign funding bring a large part of the problem.
I do not agree with the authors post that the continued USA Israeli relationship under Trump will be on Trumps or USA terms. It does not add up to this.
People are looking for a reason to believe after all this time, but Trump’s prior track record with Israel, and his family connections with the same, will not allow for any tightening of that screw. The analogy with the smoker 70 years of age learning that he now has lung cancer and doing all he can to correct the problem, is superficially shallow to say the least.
I do NOT see any substantial changes coming toward Israel or issues related to campaign funding. He cannot do this. To do so would dishonor himself with his family, and those that worked behind the scene for him.
