Comment comes amid report he will announce relocation during trip to Israel in late May
ed note–in response to the flurry of snide, snickering emails/comments we received here yesterday in the aftermath of the lone story appearing on an Israeli website ‘predicting’ that Trump would announce Jerusalem to be the ‘capital’ of the Jewish state, we immediately saw this as typical hasbara when it came out and thus did not give it any coverage/commentary. The Jews do this all the time, announce something that in fact does not exist as a means of putting pressure on a particular target to give in to their demands and it is no different with Trump and his ‘announcing’ Jerusalem as the capital of Judea, Inc.
Now, does this mean that in fact he will not move the embassy? No. As far as we are concerned, all it means is that it’s too early to tell, and anyone imagining themselves endowed with the the gift of prophecy on this matter (and on other matters related to this new and utterly unpredictable president) should just put away their crystal balls and instead develop a wait and see attitude towards unfolding events. Syria was not destroyed, as so many ‘experts’ in this ‘muuvemnt’ predicted. War with Korea did not break out, as so many ‘experts’ in this ‘muuvemnt’ predicted, and it is safe to assume that the dire predictions and prognostications ensuing from this latest item will be proven incorrect as well.
