My/our prediction on this is that Trump may indeed issue some kind of statement paying respect (lip service) to Judaic aspirations, but will also include within his statement the fact that Jerusalem is also of vital importance to 2 billion Christians and 2 billion Muslims who possess just as much a stake in that city as do the Jews and that in the interests of fairness and equity, any official position vis a vis the United States must take others’ vested interests in Jerusalem into account as well and not just one party.

On a more serious note, thus should serve as a very instructive example as to why we counsel on this website often that there is no ‘movement’ and anyone who tells you otherwise is either a fool or a liar. What there is is a group of disgruntled, dysfunctional people–thus so for varying reasons– who are looking for some wall against which to throw their own shit as a statement of both identity and purpose of existence. They are not interested in finding a rational, sensible solution to the problems we are all facing, but rather for their own 15 minutes of fame where–for a mere 15 minutes, they (seem to) dominate the discussion with their various theories and theorums as to why the world is in the shape that it’s in and if only the rest of the world’s 7 billion people would see things the way they do, all the world’s issues would be solved.

I’m no fan of Trump but on this issue my bet is he won’t consent to moving the Embassy to Jerusalem. No President before has consented to do so and neither will Trump. Of course I could be wrong but I don’t think so. The ziotards can do what they’ve always done about our Embassy. Keep on dreaming.
