What is so striking about this is the power that the rabbis had over the minds of the people. When Jesus first enters Joo-roo-salem the week before His murder, the people hailed Him as a prophet and went so far as to throw their own clothes on the filthy road so that neither His feet nor the hooves of the DONKEY upon which He was riding would be soiled from the dirt, urine, manure, and probably human feces that undoubtedly covered every square inch of his journey.
And a week later, after the rabbis get hold of that same crowd, they are screaming–SCREECHING, in fact–at the top of their lungs, ‘Crucify Him’ and ‘His blood be upon us and upon our children’.
THAT is the power that the rabbis have over the minds and actions of the people under their sway…
And likewise today, not only concerning the Genocide taking place in Gaza right now and the OVERWHELMING support that the Jews of Israel–right, left, and everything in between–maintain for this genocide, but as well, all those others that at present are on the ‘back burner’ in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Iran, etc, etc, etc…
