As the U.S. military continues its campaign targeting alleged drug cartel boats, Gen. Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is convening a rare meeting of all of the top military leaders from the 34 countries in the Western Hemisphere.
This will be the first time that such a meeting has been convened and appears to be focused on improving cooperation against drug trafficking and criminal organizations.
The meeting is set for Feb. 11, according to a statement from the Joint Chiefs of Staff provided to ABC News.
The meeting was confirmed to ABC News the same day the U.S. military announced another strike targeting an alleged narco-trafficking vessel in the Eastern Pacific, killing two people.
‘Chiefs of defense and senior military representatives from 34 nations will meet to build shared understanding of common security priorities and strengthen regional cooperation,’ the statement said.
‘Participating defense leaders will explore the importance of strong partnerships, continued cooperation, and united efforts to counter criminal and terrorist organizations, as well as external actors undermining regional security and stability,’ the statement added.
The meeting comes amid the U.S. military’s largest military presence in the Caribbean in decades, the seizure of Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela, the carrying out more than 35 air strikes against drug cartel boats and the Trump administration’s focus on Greenland.
The statement referenced the Trump administration’s U.S. National Security Strategy, released in November, which stated the U.S. seeks ‘a Hemisphere whose governments cooperate with us against narco-terrorists, cartels, and other transnational criminal organizations; we want a Hemisphere that remains free of hostile foreign incursion or ownership of key assets, and that supports critical supply chains; and we want to ensure our continued access to key strategic locations.’
Earlier Friday, U.S. Southern Command said it conducted a strike on an alleged drug smuggling boat in the Eastern Pacific that killed two people and left one survivor.
That marked the first U.S. military strike against an alleged drug smuggling boat this year and the first since the Jan. 3 capture of Maduro, who was brought to the U.S. to face drug trafficking charges.
The strike was conducted at the direction of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and targeted a vessel ‘operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations,’ Southern Command said in a statement on X, which included a short video of the strike.
‘Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations,’ the statement said.
Two alleged ‘narco-terrorists’ were killed and one survived, according to Southern Command. The U.S. Coast Guard has been notified and will activate a search and rescue effort for the survivor, Southern Command said.
There have been more than 30 strikes and over 120 people killed in the U.S. military campaign in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific targeting alleged drug traffickers since September.
How dumb ya gotta be to not see this convening as a ploy to centralize all the executive military management so they can all be hit at once by the “enema”! Why wouldn’t they do this over encrypted channels so nobody has to convene anywhere physically…

We here at this humble little informational endeavor are certainly not ‘dumb’ and we don’t read your brilliant analysis and 6th sense psychic powers into any of this at all.
Why would they not do this over ‘encrypted channels’? Because there is no such thing as a safe connection anymore where the Jews are involved, and that’s as much a ‘no-brainer’ as ‘no-brainers’ go.
We would have expected that someone with your genius IQ would have thought of that, but it seems that this was the proverbial ‘bridge too far’.
What it sounds like it COULD be, is that POTUS DJT, understanding as he does that there are major troubles ahead, wants to make sure that as far as everyone in the Western Hemisphere is concerned, that everyone is all on the ‘same page’ in dealing with whatever is headed in our collective direction.
But then, maybe this is just a ‘dumb’ understanding of it all and you are right and Trump plans to kill all of them by bringing them to one place, when he could just as easily do it by ordering missile strikes.
