Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on the phone with US President Donald Trump on Thursday night as part of the ongoing coordination between the two countries.

Trump updated Netanyahu on current American moves in the Gulf and the United States’ attacks against Iranian assets, the statement said, while Netanyahu warned Trump against approving the F-35 deal with Turkey.

Netanyahu also raised the matter of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s severe comments against the existence of the State of Israel, as well as the need for ‘security zones’ along Israel’s borders.

No other details of the phone call were shared.

Despite the phone call and unfolding situation, a White House official confirmed that at the moment, there are no dates set for the two leaders to meet, adding that Washington is still committed to finding a resolution with Iran and that technical talks were continuing.
