As the media prepared to vacate newsrooms for the weekend, Democrats snuck in a last minute proposal that the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) be allowed to heavily regulate political content on internet sites such as Youtube, blogs, and the Drudge Report.
Obama FEC Vice Chairperson Ann M. Ravel announced late on Friday that the FEC was preparing new regulations to give itself control over videos, Internet-based political campaigns, and other content on the web. She insisted that, “A reexamination of the commission’s approach to the internet and other emerging technologies is long overdue.”
This snap decision came after the FEC deadlocked 3-3 over whether or not an anti-Obama Internet campaign in Ohio had violated FEC campaign disclosure rules. The videos were placed for free on Youtube and were not paid advertising, but they also did not disclose who made them.
Until now, videos and other political content that is not posted for a fee are unregulated by the FEC. Only paid advertising is regulated under election rules. It is this that the Democrats want to change.
“FEC Chairman Lee E. Goodman, a Republican, said if regulation extends that far, then anybody who writes a political blog, runs a politically active news site, or even a chat room could be regulated,” the Washington Examiner reported on October 24.
“I have been warning that my Democratic colleagues were moving to regulate media generally and the Internet specifically for almost a year now,” Goodman told FoxNews.com. “And today’s statement from Vice Chair Ravel confirms my warnings.”
Chairperson Ravel says that it should be illegal for free Internet videos to be used for paid TV advertising. But Goodman points out that Ravel is conflating the matter, and that FEC rules already regulate that situation. TV ads are paid advertising and already fall under regulatory oversight, he said.
Goodman and the other two FEC commissioners who voted that the Ohio videos did not violate regulations lamented the decision by the chair to float oppressive new limits on political free speech on the Internet. “Regrettably, the 3-to-3 vote in this matter suggests a desire to retreat from these important protections for online political speech–a shift in course that could threaten the continued development of the Internet’s virtual free marketplace of political ideas and democratic debate,” they wrote.

Youtube has long been taken over by the operatives from La Kosher Nostra’s Cyber terrorists with trolls, stalkers, moles and hackers. Their actions caused such disruption and Channels being suspended over things like ‘Hate Speech’, videos being censored that criticised the HoloHoax, “israel”, jewish control over the Banking & Information Industries, Entertainment etc. Google Plus stepped in with a ‘Solution’ that only watered down the Youtube ‘Community Aspect’ so badly that it no longer facilitates any form of true Community, Free Speech or Expression. So it only figures the fanatical jews would now reach for the other entities on the internet. We already know Facebook was ‘their’ creation anyway. Now that they have so much information of a personal nature on so many people and are making moves towards a Super Computer where this same information is to be stored and potentially used against any perceived ‘threats’ the their agenda. I say it will fail, however. It still won’t stop ‘them’ from trying. Then never quit until facing physical force. It’s the only thing they respect. Given the level of their desperation, it’s surely to manifest in that way and soon! People the planet over are getting more than fed up with them.

The pro-Israel Canadian government is modifying the country’s criminal code to ban any criticism of the Zionist regime for atrocities against Palestinians, an analyst says.
In a column for Press TV website, Brandon Martinez has analyzed the proposed cyber-bullying law (Bill C-13) by the administration of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
“The Zionist ruling clique of Canada, through their front-man Stephen Harper, is seeking to beef up the already-existing Orwellian ‘hate propaganda’ law, which has been primarily used to curtail criticism of Zionists and Israel,” wrote Martinez.
He said Canada’s criminal code is to ban criticism or promotion of “hatred” against people distinguished by “national origin.”

The analyst said the Canadian police have refused to provide any protection to Zundel, whose Toronto home has been “torched by Zionist terrorists.”
“Zundel’s story is a testament to the power and control of Jewish extremists in Canada,” wrote Martinez.
Harper is under criticism for its violations of the rights of indigenous peoples in Canada.
Many native Canadians remain among the poorest members of the Canadian society, with most of them suffering poor educational, economic and social conditions.
