Interestingly enough the think tanks and intelligence agencies correctly surmised that there was a religious revival taking place and that their most loyal puppets were in jeopardy they countered that by bringing in the Arab spring. THEN they realized the aspirations of the masses for a Caliphate so they have brought in their mercenaries to begin a so called Caliphate.
