Such a laser might (I say MIGHT) be effective against ponderous, low-altitude drones that do not execute evasive maneuvers. However lasers remain useless against missies. Consider the Russian-made P-270 Moskit anti-ship missile, which flies at Mach 3 a few feet above the water, and carries a conventional or nuclear warhead. The P-270 can be fired by ships or by aircraft, and, weighing nearly five tons, it would easily punch through any ship’s armor even without a warhead.
In today’s world, naval forces are only useful against lightly armed civilians. Against a large, modern military, they are sitting ducks.
Recall that when the Jews bombarded and invaded Lebanon in 2006, Hezbollah fired a missile that severely damaged the INS Hanit, a Jewish warship built in Pascagoula, Mississippi by Northrup Grumman. The ship was ten miles offshore. Four Jews were killed, and the ship had to limp back home to port in Ashdod. Here’s an example of how “left-wing” blogs support Jewish evil and imperialistic war just as much as right-wing blogs do.
The article above discusses talk show host Bill Maher’s fanatical hatred of Muslims. (Maher poses as an atheist, but his endless claims that all Muslims are terrorists are faith-based.)
The author pretends to disagree with Maher, and yet he agrees with Maher that Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Hezbollah, and ISIS are “repulsive,” and are based on “perverse ideologies.”
In calling Hezbollah “repulsive,” he supports Jewish atrocities.
In calling the mythical groups Al Qaeda and ISIS “repulsive,” he supports imperialism and its lies.
Of course, it never occurs to the author that the reason why Bill Maher is so pathologically anti-Islam is that Bill Maher is a JEW.
When Jews rail against Muslims, you cannot mention that the attackers are Jews. That would be “anti-Semitic.”

Average Americans want to dominate the planet, yet they endlessly talk about “democracy.”

Whether you all know it or not, but The Russian Federation apparently has a device that can completely disable all of the electronics on ANY ship that is the target of the device, rendering it completely useless AND defenseless.
There was, apparently, a field-test of this device in April of this year, and it was an absolute success.
That is really all that there is to say.

@#5 by LindseyNarrates.wordpress.com ~ Many thanks for the heads up. I had not heard about that. The claim is that Russia can deactivate (i.e. shut down) most or all electronic systems on any US ship, rendering it dead in the water. Is this true? We have no way to be sure, but it is interesting.
