By the way, in an earlier comment I said that Ms. Fluornoy’s bowing out from the Defense Secretary job suggests that the office has no power, and thus no attraction.
However, if a Jew like Lieberman becomes Defense Secretary, then the office will have tremendous power. No one would dare refuse any request from Lieberman, nor question any order. To do so would be “anti-Semitic.” It would bring a retaliation from the entire tribe.
