Ken Thompson was slow to react because a Jewish house in Brooklyn is a “no-go zone” that the police dare not enter, for fear of being called “anti-Semitic.” The only exceptions are when the Jews ask the police to enter.
The Flatbush section of Brooklyn used to be an Italian and Jewish neighborhood. Today it is 80% black (mostly from Caribbean nations like Haiti or Jamaica). The few remaining Jewish houses are “no-go zones.”
