These oldest comments’ tone is unusual from the guardian readership. Suspect comments distort truth using fallacy techniques used by hasbarats (check any post on brietbart for real world examples). List of fallacies here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallacies. I also noticed a sense of camaraderie and “stroking” between many of the “readers” with many relatively new accounts posting. Posts are sophisticatedly (??) inaccurate and difficult to refute in one brief paragraph let alone one sentence.
Personally, I’m not going to spend all my time attempting to prove comments false, because they want me to my waste time refuting their intentionally false arguments while a few less informed readers may be swayed by their argument. This level of propaganda sophistication is high and likely coordinated in an open group setting.
ISIS
I’ve recently noticed ISIS using similar hasbarat style along with very sophisticated graphics incorporated into their videos. False content usually focuses on Hezbollah, Iran, Assad, and Shi’a in general. For example, ISIS is a creation of Assad and Iran. We waste precious time weeding through blatant misinformation while missing the Truth.
