I don’t believe Dante is ‘falling’ for anything. He is simply stating certain facts. Also, there were literally hundreds of religions on a global scale that had existed LONG before the ‘jews’, Muslims, and Christians. So actually, these 3 Abrahamic systems are the new kids on the block.
And if you look into it, one will see that religions are rooted in either; the movements of the stars, the sun, the moon, and the 4 seasons.. which ARE “mother nature”. Look at the holidays & festivals of the religions. They are dated due to the time of the celestial movements and/or the planetary movements.
