‘For rabbis like Yigal Levinstein, the war in Gaza is not only a campaign against Arab enemies, it’s a war of liberation from the universal morality associated with secular Zionism. Such is the approach of the new Judaism.’
ed note–as always, lots of ‘must knows’ that every Gentile with a vested interest in his/her own future survival needs to understand about all of this.
Firsto, fellow Gentiles, in maintaining our ‘stickler for details’ thingy that all readers of this website know is a mainstay here on this humble little informational endeavor, the Hebraic author’s assertion that the ‘advice’ on the part of the Rabbi to the terrorists within the IDF that they should not feel guilty about mass murdering Gentiles in Gaza represents a ‘New Judaism’ is patently, false, untrue, inaccurate and, borrowing some less sophisticated verbiage, BS.
This is as much the ‘new Judaism’ as beach swimmers being attacked by sharks these days represents the ‘new sharkism’. The Judah-ism of the here and now is the same as the Judah-ism of way-back-when, and anyone who tries to sell this differently is either a liar or a fool, to wit–
‘When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are to possess and drives out the many nations larger and stronger than you, and when the Lord your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy. Do not save alive anything that breathes, for you are a people holy to the Lord your God who has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession…’ –Book of Deuteronomy
As well as–
‘Now go and attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them…Do not spare them, but put to death the men and the women, the children and the suckling infants and all the cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’ 1 Samuel
Just a few of the MANY citations found within the thousands-of-years-old teachings of Torah (Old Testament) Judah-ism that could be introduced as ‘exhibit A’ but won’t for reasons of brevity.
The rabbi is correct in his assertions and in his ‘advice’–the Jews are commanded to slaughter every living thing, down to the ‘suckling infant’, as part of what their ‘old Judah-ism’ commands, and to say otherwise is both heretical and blasphemous.
Now, as bad as all of this is, ladies and Gentile-men, i.e. this stinking rabbi using his Judah-ism to anesthetize whatever ‘conscience’ may exist amongst the terrorists of the IDF, it is actually much, much worse, and by ‘much worse’, what we mean is ‘worse’ in apocalyptic degrees…
As the words of the stinking rabbi make very clear, ladies and Gentile-men, it is not just the mass murder of Gentiles in Gaza that is at stake here. It is much, much larger than just that small Palestinian enclave, a fact made clear when the rabbi states that–
…‘The divine historical mission of the Jewish people stands above any other moral consideration, and any stance which says that wars are unethical and should be avoided as much as possible is a contradiction of true morality, because it conflicts with the ability of the Jewish people to bring our tremendous blessings unto the whole world.’
And what exactly IS this ‘divine historical mission’, ladies and Gentile-men, which the Jews believe they have been ‘charged’ by the violent deity they worship, yahweh, to execute?
A few (of many) items as follows–
‘On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among the sheaves; they will consume all the peoples around them on the right and on the left, and on that day I will destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem…’ Book of Zechariah
And–
‘On Mount Zion there will be deliverance and the house of Jacob will reclaim its possession…Then the house of Jacob will be a blazing fire, and the house of Joseph a burning flame, and the house of Esau will be reduced to mere stubble, for Jacob will set it ablaze and consume it and no survivor will remain from the house of Esau, for the LORD has spoken…’ Book of Obadiah
AND, last but certainly not least–
‘For the nation which will not bow down and serve you shall perish, it shall be utterly destroyed…’
–Book of Isaiah
These are the ‘blessings’ which the diabolically-deranged Rabbi is referencing, ladies and Gentile-men, the complete incineration of the entire Gentile world, and for whatever/whoever remains alive, complete subjugation to what we refer to here on this humble little informational endeavor as ‘Judaic World Domination’.
But hey, ladies and Gentile-men, not to worry…These are not ‘real Jews’ advocating this, but ‘fake Jews’ who follow their ‘Talmud’ rather than the ‘old time religion’ of their Torah, and who are not representative of the majority of what we refer to here as ‘The Jewish Brain’, but rather a microscopically small and statistically-insignificant ‘minority’.
And yes, of course, we are being facetious…
Ofri Ilany for Haaretz
In a Jerusalem bookstore I found Rabbi Yigal Levinstein’s book, ‘Master of War, Sower of Salvation.’ Levinstein, or as he’s known, ‘Harav Yigal,’ is the head of the pre-army academy in the West Bank settlement of Eli and one of the most important rabbis in the Hardali (ultra-Orthodox-nationalist) stream of Judaism.
Occasionally the media cites his views on gays (‘They’re perverts’), on women (‘It’s harder for a woman to make a rational decision contrary to her emotions’), and on framing the October 7 disaster as part of the path to redemption (‘No words can describe the immense importance of the hour’).
But the content of ‘Master of War’ is far darker…
It is a collection of several lectures that Levinstein gave during the war and it serves as a ‘moral guide’ for IDF fighters.
The most striking lecture deals with the problem of soldiers feeling guilt in the face of war, in itself an exceptional topic these days. Mainstream media barely touches the question of guilty feelings, since, after all, according to the prevailing view in Israel, the IDF is ‘the most moral army in the world’, and any accusations against it are nothing more than antisemitic blood libels.
But among the religious Zionist population, whose sons are playing such a central role in the forefront of the present war, the question of guilt necessarily arises. Indeed, this community is aware that there is something to feel guilty about.
For example, in July, the news website of the religious Zionist movement, Srugim, published an article by a homeroom teacher in a religious school in Jerusalem. The writer recounted a conversation he had with a religious officer serving in the Gaza Strip. The officer had admitted that he was disturbed by the rules of engagement with regard to civilians in the Strip.
And this is, patently, only the tip of the iceberg.
Rabbi Levinstein’s aim is to explain ‘how to cope with feelings of guilt.’ Drawing on the teachings of Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook (1865-1935), and of Rabbi Zvi Thau, the spiritual leader of the anti-LGBTQ Noam Party, Levinstein sets out to answer the question of ‘what we are morally permitted and not permitted to do.’
To this end, he articulates a ‘new morality’, according to which ‘the divine historical mission of the Jewish people stands above any other moral consideration’. According to this view, any universal human stance which says that wars are unethical and should be avoided as much as possible is really a contradiction of true morality, because it ‘conflicts with the ability of the Jewish people to bring our tremendous blessings unto the whole world.’
It follows then that according to Rabbi Levinstein, the war is not only a necessity, but indeed, ‘a holy war’.
A scenario that emerges from Levinstein’s ideas would go like this: When a soldier or an officer opens fire on Palestinian women and children, he might feel guilty. As the rabbi puts it, ‘Suddenly he is frightened of himself, of his moral deterioration…But then, he must look at the Arab enemy with eyes of holiness and realize that this soul-searching is an obstacle to God’s will.’
According to Levinstein, ‘Only when this element is understood can fighters and commanders spring up who are imbued with the righteousness of the path.’
However, in his perception, the present official policy of Israel and of state bodies – the Shin Bet security service, army, and state prosecution – is still based on viewpoints from ‘the left’. Therefore, heaven help us, ‘These systems are very careful when they take action against the Arabs.’
As we see then, in the view of rabbis like Levinstein, ‘Operation Swords of Iron’ is not only a campaign against the Arab enemy, it is a war of liberation against the universal morality that they identify within secular (Gentile) elements of Jewry. Out of the horrors of Rafah and Gaza, a Jewish super-being is forged, who acts according to a ‘pure’ Jewish morality. ‘The ‘fighter with purity’ does not succumb to feelings of guilt that lead him to adopt feelings of compassion or pity for the enemy’.
Atrociously, we are seeing how sermons by Rabbi Levinstein constitute important documentation that explains the mechanisms that have rendered significant segments of the IDF murderous. Talks like this resonate within the minds of the new elite that are operating on the forefront of the war.
The general public, on the other hand, espouses a more or less ‘standard’ moral approach, but it too is sufficiently poisoned with notions of Jewish supremacy to treat the carnage of civilians as anything other than a regrettable (but tolerable) deviation.
And finally, it is worth mentioning: Behind the lofty words and the theological theories about ‘eyes of holiness’ lurks the horror. Piles of bodies. Torn limbs. Girls whose heads have been smashed to smithereens.
