Hamas did several things to hurt itself.
In 2011, Qatar participated in the destruction of Libya, and supported the lynching of Moamar Qaddafi. Qatar also participated in the proxy war against Syria’s Assad, and continues to do so.
Therefore Hamas sought to get more support from Qatar by speaking negatively against Qaddafi and Assad, even though Qaddafi and Assad had always supported the Palestinian cause, and even though 630,000 Palestinians live in Syria (second only to Jordan and Palestine itself). Hamas even said some negative things about Iran and Hezbollah.
But when Qaddafi was killed, Hamas was no further ahead.
On 30 June 2012 Mohammed Morsi became president of Egypt. Hamas moved its Syrian headquarters from Damascus to Egypt, and again gave its support to Qatar, plus the Muslim Brotherhood, of which Morsi was a member. Again Hamas said negative things about Hezbollah, Iran, and Assad of Syria.
However, a year later (July 2013) Mohammed Morsi was overthrown in an Egyptian coup. The new government (which is strongly allied with the USA and Israel) savagely persecuted the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.
Again Hamas was alone.
So now Hamas is talking about cozying up to Hezbollah. We’ll have to see how this goes, but I am not very optimistic. Hamas has a history of quickly switching sides.
Glad to see the Hamas finally woke up, smelled the coffee and saw the writing on the wall. This whole Sunni & Shia split is/was their weakness. Now the fireworks really start.
Brzezenzski charted the ideology of separation of Russia and China. Because of Jewish neocon de-construction and hubris, Russia and China been pushed together and have inked mutually beneficial contracts, beneficial research, and a hand shake with photo ops for public digestion. Hopefully the end results with Hamas and Hezbollah will be the same as Russia and China. As the old Arab adage goes, “The enemy of my enemy, is my friend”. I hope they have both remembered this proverb.
Arab confusion, and infighting,is what has kept them at the International Jews mercy. Plus these insane religious splitting of hairs. When they end this often ,Israeli injected circle chasing, maybe they can begin to win. The Arab world must return to the National Socialsim,of Nasser, and learn ,the truth,of that history.
