THE JEWISH CHRONICLE – The BBC has apologised for causing offence after an “antisemitic” illustration was included in a BBC Proms programme.
Gillian Stern, from Finchley, said she was shocked that a “hideously and very obviously antisemitic cartoon” of the violinist Leopold Auer appeared in the programme for a Proms performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto.
Auer was a violinist and teacher of significance, and a number of composers, including Tchaikovsky, dedicated pieces to him.
A BBC spokesperson said: “We use a range of caricatures and illustrations in our concert programmes and wanted one of Leopold Auer.
“We’re sorry to anyone who was offended by the image choice – this was never our intention.”
Ms Stern said: “This image of Leopold had been printed large in the programme, with no full context or explanation of its questionable nature.
“It is the most extraordinary thing. I can’t get my head around why they would have picked that.”
Also surprised by the image was violin teacher Nigel Goldberg, who said: “It is an antisemitic cartoon and it is completely out of context. There is no explanation of the image at all. Anyone I’ve shown it to, Jewish or not, has been stunned.
Er, it is called a caricature, and it is quite obviously stated as merely being such in the program itself, for all to see.
There is no problem except in the minds of the paranoid complainers who have entirely unreasonable delusions of Jews thus being persecuted. All caricatures feature exaggerated features of someone’s physiognomy, that is the very nature of a caricature, after all.
People of all races and religions are caricatured. The Jewish reaction to this quite innocent caricature is very telling.
The actual accepted view of the Orthodox Jews that was recently featured in the British mainstream newspaper ‘The Independent’, stated that Orthodox Jews in London are ALL taught as children that ALL Gentiles are evil and that they ALL want to kill all the Jews. That is what the British and millions of other Gentiles get for laying down their lives in WWII for these ingrates, who started WWII for their own ends.
The constant theatrical role play of the Jews to kick up a fuss like this over absolutely nothing is entirely designed to draw attention away from the fact that the Jewish cult actually intends to genocide every single last Gentile on the entire planet, quite literally, as the Jews openly state they are awaiting WWIII and plot for it to happen, in order for their messiah to come, when all Gentiles in the world are prophesied to be killed.
