Survey finds most Israelis think US president will punish Jerusalem if it doesn’t fall in with his Mideast policy goals
ed note–as always, a tsunami of important info that every Gentile with a vested interest in his/her own future survival needs to understand about all of this.
Firsto, ladies and Gentile-men, substantively, there is no difference between POTUS 45 and POTUS 47. His current worldview and his plans as leader of the free world are as much the same today as they were during his first term, the only conceivable difference between the two being that now POTUS 47 understands how close to the edge the continued existence of the entire world is and therefore doesn’t have time for playing ‘Mr. Nice Guy’.
This is an important distinction to understand, and especially when it comes to POTUS DJT’s plans for the Middle East, given the fact that for the most part (and by ‘most’, what we mean is not a mere 51%, but rather upwards in the 90s) those who enjoy various lofty positions as self-declared ‘experts’ and ‘analysts’ when it comes to decoding POTUS DJT and his plans for the Middle East have been DEAD WRONG for the last 8 years. Much like the sheep in George Orwell’s Animal Farm who had mastered the phrase ‘4 legs good, 2 legs bad’ and beyond that, had no intellectual capacity for understanding or discussing anything more critical, likewise, entire swaths of ‘sheeple’ who operated (and continue to operate) as ‘experts’ in the field of political analysis did not/dared not venture outside the rigidly constructed circle of discourse when it came to POTUS DJT where he was painted as subservient to Netanyahu and ‘owned by d’Jooz’.
Nothing however could have been further from the truth…
Every gesture (and that was all that they were, L&G, ‘gestures’) that DJT affected when dealing with Israel, and in particular with the lizard-faced warlord Netanyahu, was done with the specific end goal in mind of ‘giving 5 in order to get back 10′, and the ’10’ he expected (but was prevented from collecting due to the theft of the 2020 election, courtesy of Netanyahu) was the successful implementation of his ‘Deal of the Century that would have pulled the lit fuse out of the bomb known as WWIII/Armageddon via the creation of a state for the Palestinian people which Netanyahu and the rest of the fever-brained Judah-ites oppose with 666% of their demented and diabolically-deranged beings.
Now however, the situation has become more desperate and more dire. Netanyahu and the rest of the Pirates of Judea cooked up Oct. 7th and everything that came out of it because they knew they had a very small window of opportunity to get WWIII/Armageddon started and wanted to make sure that no matter who wound up in the White House that what they would be facing was a war in the Middle East (and elsewhere) so hot and with so much energy and inertia behind it that it could not be stopped.
And POTUS DJT knew this to be the case from the beginning and ABSOLUTELY understands it now, which is why he is not going to use ‘kid gloves’ when dealing with Netanyahu.
Yes, POTUS DJT may engage in certain ‘necessary evils’ such as smiling when shaking hands with Mr. lizard-faced warlord and will UNDOUBTEDLY talk about how much he ‘supports Israel’ while touting what he did for the Jypsy State during his first term…
But behind closed doors, after the cameras and microphones have been turned off, what will undoubtedly take place is something altogether different, where POTUS 47 is going to deal with Netanyahu in the same manner as would some power-unto-himself ‘Godfather’ after learning that one of his ‘caporegimes’ has been caught embezzling.
Now, whatever comes out of this meeting, L&G, be as skeptical of whatever ‘analysis’ emanates from the ‘usual suspects’ chirping their usual nonsense about Trump being ‘owned by d’Jooz’ as one would be skeptical of some street vendor selling the ‘100% authentic’ Rolex watches he has hidden under his coat for a mere $5. These types are the modern-day equivalent of the sheep in Animal Farm who are in way over their heads and who are as competent in doing analysis on multi-dimensional ‘quadratic’ political equations as they would be in doing brain surgery.
Times of Israel
Large majorities of Israelis believe that US President Donald Trump was responsible for securing the recent ceasefire-hostage deal with Hamas and that he is likely to put heavy pressure, or even impose sanctions, on Jerusalem if it does not align with his Middle East policy goals, according to a recent Israel Democracy Institute survey.
When asked, ‘In your opinion, was US President Trump correct or incorrect in saying that the ceasefire agreement and the release of the hostages were achieved thanks to his intervention?’ a large majority of Israelis, 74%, answered that he was correct.
Trump has repeatedly taken credit for the agreement, which was reached days before his inauguration, after more than a year of effort by the administration of his predecessor Joe Biden, under whom the framework for the deal was agreed to last spring.
The breakthrough came days after Trump threatened that there would be ‘all hell to pay’ in the region if hostages were not returned by his first day in office — a threat that was generally interpreted as directed at Hamas but which some now say was actually directed at Israel.
The deal calls on Hamas to release all of the hostages held since its October 7, 2023, onslaught on southern Israel, in exchange for the release of thousands of Palestinian security inmates from Israeli prisons, and an end to fighting in the Gaza Strip. The three-stage deal is currently in its first phase, with its future uncertain.
When asked, ‘What are the chances that President Trump will exert real pressure on Israel, and perhaps even impose sanctions, if the Netanyahu-led government does not align with his initiatives in the Middle East, such as a normalization agreement with Saudi Arabia?’ a large majority of respondents similarly said the chances were very high that he will.
Though answers to the latter question were largely the same between Jews (73.5%) and Arabs (67.5%), Jewish respondents who are on the right politically were less likely, at 66.5%, to answer yes than Jewish respondents on the left (89%) or the center (88%).
Many right-wing Israeli Jews celebrated Trump’s election in November, following steps he took during his first term in office from 2017 to 2021, when he moved the US embassy to Jerusalem, recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, and brokered the Abraham Accords, while adopting a more friendly policy toward Israeli settlement in the West Bank than previous US administrations had.
Some of those erstwhile allies were disappointed, however, by Trump’s championing of the hostage-ceasefire deal, which they opposed, arguing that the costs to Israel’s security are unjustifiable, and are wary of the US president’s express goal of achieving normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia within the framework of the Abraham Accords.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, of the far-right Religious Zionism party, said Monday that he would not support normalization with Saudi Arabia if it means ending the war in Gaza and has said in the past he will not support normalization if it requires the establishment a Palestinian state.
The figures, released by the Israel Democracy Institute on Tuesday in advance of the full publication of its January 2025 Israeli Voice Index, came as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to meet Trump later in the day at the White House, where the Gaza deal and Saudi normalization are expected to be central matters of discussion.
