A more serpentine political career than that of Aoun is not possible to imagine but that’s Lebanon for you. Right now he is on the side of the angels, where he has cast his lot since 2006 with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with Hezbollah
Bismillaah.
I am not Shia’a, nor am I Sufi, nor am I a so called Salafi, I am just a Muslim, but I can’t help but enjoy reading Sheikh Nasrallah’s speeches. No where do I see anyone else resisting Israel, making sure help and support find their way to as many Palestinians as possible, and building ties with their Christian and Sunni bretheren in the region. I know tensions might be high with the Sunni’s, because of the takfiri’s who are pretending to be Sunni’s giving all of Islam a bad name, but I hope that Sheikh Nasrallah continues to be a force standing firm in the region.
