Trump got nowhere with them ,and never will.
Once you take them or they think you are in opposition to them,nothing you can say will do.
Trump had a right to take them on directly as a foreign agent of a foreign nation ,and totally subversive .
Truman– in that quote– was being bashful and modest. He did please them in spades: he recognized Israel in a matter of hours after it declared “independence.” He had wanted to be POTUS so bad… and he wanted to leave a legacy. As if Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not enough.
