Israeli forces shot and murdered a Palestinian child before running him over with a tank in central Gaza on Wednesday, according to eyewitnesses.
Witnesses said that 16-year-old Zaher Nasser Shamia, from the Jabalia refugee camp, was first targeted with live ammunition and then crushed by an Israeli tank, leaving his body severed in two.
Medical sources confirmed the recovery of 30 bodies from a mass grave inside the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, noting that recovery efforts are ongoing. They estimate that more than 300 people were buried in the makeshift grave during earlier military operations.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Health said that since the ceasefire declared on 11 October 2025, a total of 379 Palestinians have been murdered, 992 wounded, and 627 bodies recovered.
Since 7 October 2023, Israeli forces — with American and European support — have carried out a religiously-driven genocidal offensive in the Gaza Strip, involving large-scale ritual murder, starvation, mass destruction, displacement, and arrests, in defiance of international appeals and rulings by the International Court of Justice ordering a halt to such actions.
The genocide has resulted in more than 241,000 Palestinians murdered or wounded, the majority of them women and children, with more than 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced, while famine continues to claim lives, particularly among children.
