Former Vice President Joe Biden is leading President Donald Trump by double-digits in Minnesota and Pennsylvania, new polls from the key battleground states have found.

The latest state surveys from Fox News found the presumptive Democratic nominee was 13 points ahead of Trump in Minnesota, and 11 points clear of the incumbent in Pennsylvania as of Monday.

Fifty percent of voters in Pennsylvania opted for Biden when asked who they would vote for if an election were held today, while 39 percent told Fox News they would back Trump.

When the same poll was conducted in mid-April, the gap between the former vice president and Trump was 3 points tighter, with the same share of voters backing Biden while 42 percent supported the president.

In the new Minnesota poll, Biden was supported by 51 percent of registered voters in the state as less than four in ten (38 percent) of Minnesotans favored Trump.

The former vice president’s leads in the states will not come as welcome news to the Trump campaign, given that it managed to record surprise wins both states during the 2016 presidential election.

A third Fox News battleground state survey from Michigan put Biden nine points ahead of Trump with the backing of 49 percent of voters in the swing state.

Asked who they trusted to do a better job on four major election issues, Biden was found to poll ahead of Trump on the coronavirus pandemic, race relations and China in both Minnesota and Pennsylvania.

However, the two states were split on who they trusted most to handle the economy.

Trump led Biden by 5 points on the key issue in Pennsylvania, with 48 percent of local voters putting more face in the president. But in Minnesota, Biden was 1 point ahead of Trump on the economy.

Michigan voters narrowly favored Trump on the issue, with 47 percent backing the incumbent on the issue and 44 percent placing more trust in Biden—placing the president’s lead within the poll’s margin of error.

Fox News pollsters surveyed 793 voters in Pennsylvania, 756 Michigan voters and 776 Minnesotans for its latest state polls. All surveys have a 3.5 percentage point margin of error.
