As I have said (many times) there is a tug of war in Iran between the oligarchs on one side, and the Republican Guard on the other. Each side has its respective politicians.
The clergy tends to side with the oligarchs. Some clergymen are themselves oligarchs (e.g. president Rouhani). Affluent Iranians (upper middle class and above) also side with the oligarchs.
On the other side, the masses (lower middle class and below) tend to side with the Republican Guard. (Although some average Iranians are seduced by the clergy into remaining obedient to their rich masters.)
The oligarchs want to change Iran into a pure plutocracy, like the USA or any other Western nation. They want to enter the global CCC (Casino Capitalism Club) whose members include powerful Jews.
Opposing them are the Republican Guards, who are National Socialists. They are populist, anti-imperialist, anti-globalist, and anti-Zionist.
Ahmadinejad wants to get back into power, and align himself with the masses and the Republican Guard. He is opposed by the oligarchs, and by the global financiers, and by all their puppet governments, including the US government. When Ahmadinejad became president in 2005, the west imposed brutal sanctions on Iran, which only hurt the lower classes. The sanctions did not hurt the rich oligarchs.
Last year (2013) Rouhani convinced the masses to vote for him by saying that the Western sanctions caused their misery, and that Ahmadinejad was the reason for the sanctions. Now that Rouhani and the oligarchs have the upper hand, and are imposing neo-liberal policies, the masses are more miserable than ever. Rouhani and the oligarchs continue to claim that it is all Ahmadinejad’s fault. They are ultra-corrupt, yet they claim that Ahmadinejad and his allies are corrupt and incompetent. They say the path to mass prosperity is through austerity. (All oligarchs worldwide use this lie. It is the exact opposite of the truth.)
The oligarchs (allies of the West) use the court system to vilify and prosecute people connected with Ahmadinejad.
Being neo-liberals, they are also attacking every social program that Ahmadinejad established for the benefit of average Iranians, such as the Mehr Program (affordable housing for low-income families). The oligarchs (and their puppet politicians) say that all such social programs must be eliminated, because they are (supposedly) full of corruption.
For oligarchs worldwide, the goal is simple and universal: widen the gap between the rich and the rest, and keep widening it forever.
Oligarchs call this “reform.”
Thus, Rouhani is a “reformer.” https://quatloosx.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/sanctions.jpg
Not sure if this article is very truthful
Do not think that Zenjani was in Ahmadinejad camp.
Ahmadinejad wanted to make public a whole list of such people.
The oligarchs used Zenjani as a scapegoat to prevent the list
Now, some media, as this here are trying to pin it on Ahmadinejad.
I think Ahmadinejad made a mistake for not covering himself against financial assets, where the central bank was out of his sphere of influence.
So, I think the Principalists learned a lesson, they need to have a central banking plan in place too. A revolutionary one.
We have to see what Rohani will sign at the P5+Germany+Iran talks.
He has lessons of Khatami under his belt, who shut down Iran’s nuclear industry.
Then, the people elected Ahmadinejad and kicked it right back up.
I am not too happy with what they have signed to, so far, but as is it is all rhetorical and promissory, and if they sign anything like before again, you can bet that Rohani will lose the next election. And, Rohani won this time only by a thin margin for the other side did not have a single candidate to unify on.
But, for sure Rohani will not be able to serve more than two terms.
And, if America does not dish up to the Iranian people, based on their terms, Iranians will surely go for another radical. So, Rohani’s conciliatory note serves its purpose for now. In the future no one can claim Iran did not try raaproachment.
And, the failure can only be blamed on Zionist dominance of U.S., for there is no other obstacle. The Rohani presidency shall make that clear.
As is, Iran is negotiating from a position of naval and military superiority to America in Persian Gulf. And, by end of Rohani era, Iran’s reach and power will greatly be expanded. And, Zionist regime much more subdued and unpopular, if still around thence …
