Defense minister says removing Syrian president is long-term goal for Israel, which vowed ‘never again’ to genocide

ed note–just another example underscoring that what Jesus Christ said about the Jews 2,000 years ago is as true today as it was then–when they lie, they are ‘speaking their native tongue…’

Lieberman doesn’t care about any ‘genocide’ other than one in which Jews are involved, which is why Israel wants Assad out, due to his country’s support of the Palestinians and for Syria’s membership in the Axis of Resistance. Furthermore, remember that Jews don’t just view Syrians as ‘Ishmaelites’ with all the biblical connotations that accompany that term, but as today’s descendants of the ancient Assyrians who became a satrapy for the Greeks who invaded and occupied Judea and whose defeat the Jews celebrate yearly with Hannukuh.

Remember as well, that Syria lies well within those biblical borders of ‘Great Israel’ which the Jews consider to be theirs by divine right and therefore are just as intent upon driving the Syrians out of their country as they were/are intent upon driving the Palestinians out of theirs.

Times of Israel

The removal of Bashar Assad from power is an Israeli interest and ultimate goal, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Thursday, amid claims that troops loyal to the Syrian president were perpetrating a massacre in Aleppo.

Leiberman’s remarks, which constitute an unusual departure from Israel’s policy of nonalignment in Syria, came as he addressed in a Limmud FSU conference on Jewish learning in Eilat.

“Assad is a butcher who has massacred people,” Lieberman said. “The State of Israel has said ‘never again,’” he added, quoting a phrase used to reject genocidal policies in the wake of the Holocaust perpetrated by Nazi Germany and its allies against the Jews.

“This massacre, occurring in plain view with chemical weapons, is morally unacceptable,” he said.

But, the defense minister that Assad’s removal was an “ultimate goal” for Israel as opposed to an immediate one.

Many thousands of people, including a large number of civilians, have been killed during the fierce fighting in Aleppo between Assad’s forces and rebels who have controlled parts of the city for the past four years.

More than 3,000 people were taken out of the fighting zone on the first day of the evacuation on Thursday, but the United Nations said that as many as 50,000 are still trapped, the BBC on Friday.

The US accused the Syrian government of carrying out “nothing short of a massacre” in the city.

“The only remaining question is whether the Syrian regime, with Russia’s support, is willing to go to Geneva prepared to negotiate constructively, and whether or not they’re willing to stop this slaughter of their own people,” US Secretary of State John Kerry said.

Syria and Russia have repeatedly denied targeting civilians.

Assad on Thursday hailed the “liberation” of Aleppo after more than four years of fighting, saying that history was being made.

  1. You may also remember that until 1920, the “Ottoman Syria”, encompassed Lebanon, Syria, the whole of Palestine including what they now call Israel, Gaza and Jordan.
Al Assad wants it back, in order to protect ‘his’ people.
PS Part of Syria has been occupied by Turkey for 70 years too.

  2. The Jews vowed “never again” to genocide… unless they are the ones orchestrating it. Only Jews are allowed to mass murder, maim, tourture, rape, pillage and steal.
