Variety reported on the new role for Portman, who is Jewish and a native of Israel, on Wednesday.

The film goes into production at the end of 2015, according to Variety. The movie will be produced by Darren Aronofsky, who directed Portman in “Black Swan,” for which she won her Academy Award for best actress in 2010.

The announcement comes several days after Deadline Hollywood reported that Portman will star as U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in “On the Basis of Sex,” which will follow Ginsburg’s obstacles-filled career on the road to becoming the second female justice and the first Jewish female justice on the high court. That film also is expected to start filming by the end of the year.

Portman is making her directorial debut with “A Tale Of Love And Darkness,” which premieres this week at Cannes. The film is based on the memoir by Israeli author Amos Oz and is largely in Hebrew.

  1. “How vunderfull”. “Such telent Mz Pourtmanz hazs”…..always remember in Hollywood now more than ever Gentiles need not apply. So no matter how gifted, you or yours might be,don’t even try. Walt Disney, the only Gentile studio is now Jew too.

  2. I must add.Nobody can tell me choosing an Israeli Jewess to portray Jackie Kennedy is not an inside Joke to them..,.sin e Israel killed JFK !

  3. Ruth Bader Ginsburg has to be one of the scariest looking things around. A female grim reaper. They will have to work hard to unsexy Ms. Portman for that role. She is one of those harsh cruel cold looking females.

I guess the American people need to be taught some more history of their past. Since history is no longer part of the education system you have to slip the programme in somehow… movies fill the gap almost as well as tv.

Create the story … make a movie… throw in a bit of emotions… “where were you when…?”…. really play hard and fast with memories and facts.

Woohoo a new narrative to confuse the public. Or to convince them of … because no matter the truth, it can be warped.

If this movie did not serve a political point on some level, a message regarding the assassination of JFK, the film makers will have failed resoundingly.

On a lighter note: I would LOVE to be sitting with Michael Collins Piper while he viewed the Kennedy thing for the first time! THAT would be worth its weight in gold. Methinks our bellies might ache from laughter and our souls even more so from the assault but we would be in good company.

  4. I’ve noticed in many ‘jew’ made films that the ‘mad scientists’ have German accents. They like to get their digs in at any chance.

  5. A zionist jewess portraying the wife of the President that was killed by zionist jews -lol! Nothing surprises me anymore.

  6. Speaking of Hollow-Wood – I am bugged about all the breathless tributes to Joan Rivers and what a wonderful woman she was. One of the last subjects she mouthed off about was how “acceptable it was for Israel to kill Palestinian CHILDREN” during their maniacal, shooting-fish-in-a-barrel campaign against Gaza.
