Interesting times in the UK. The recent election showed the ordinary people of Scotland to be “as mad as hell and not going to take this anymore!”
I want to see that as a sign of hope. Large numbers of ordinary Scots organized themselves around a party – Scottish National Party – winning 56 of 59 seats. Imagine that: the major parties reduced to winning only 5% of the seats in an election. That’s unprecedented, as far as I’m aware.
Google “mhairi black and artist taxi driver interviews” and listen to this 20 year old young Scottish woman elected to the British House of Commons and be inspired by her reason and her strong moral sense. What an extraordinary ordinary person – a model for ordinary people everywhere to follow. Not like sheep, but as compassionate, rational ordinary humans.
The emergence of Jeremy Corbyn is likely associated with profound disgust among English Labour true-believers at their treacherous leaders such as Tony Blair. RE: election results – due to the outdated first past the post system in the UK and USA – the result is not that remarkable

You support PR in the scottish parliament and I agree that it should be used for the UK General elections, indeed all elections in the uk. The choices offered in the recent proposed reform of the electoral process were ridiculous as PR was not included.
