Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is not the one true God in Islam. Where did they get this from?

Numerous blogs are discussing this issue. Some attack Islam. Most object to religion being taught in public schools.
This is ironic, since the “holocaust”™ is a religion, and it is taught in EVERY school. It is a religion because people believe it on faith alone.
Indeed, half of the average person’s beliefs about many topics are based on faith alone. People believe what they want to believe, regardless of the facts, or of the lack of evidence. Most people believe that “ISIS” exists. Most people believe that the US government is “broke” and needs to borrow money, or tax us. Most people believe that Ahmadinejad said he wanted to, “wipe Israel off the map.” People decide what to believe, and then they interpret the world in ways that justify their beliefs.
Anyway, if you want to expel Islam and religion from all classrooms, then the “holocaust”™ should also be expelled.

That statement was either a slip of the tongue, or else one of the most absurd and idiotic statements one could possibly make! Where would one get the idea that Islam teaches that MUHAMMAD is the one true God??!!
As for having students write such statements as “there is no god but Allah”, that depends on the context of the statement. If it’s a requirement that the student himself proclaim that as a “true” statement and a statement of personal faith – in other words, proselytization – then it would of course be wrong and illegal (unconstitutional). But if it’s in answer to the question “What does Islam teach about God” (or some similar question), then there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it as an educational procedure. And I strongly suspect that it’s the latter (answer to the question) which is being promoted in the textbook and classrooms.
But some people are simply blind when it comes to teaching anything at all about Islam.
