I think the Judaic influence probably goes back much further than Oliver Cromwell – to Thomas Cromwell and probably to William the Conqueror. The Jews expelled in 1290 probably came with William I. The coming of William III with friends from Amsterdam in 1688 established Jewish dominance once and for all. Only six years later, the Bank of England was established.
