ed note–Just in case there were any lingering doubts as to where all of this is headed. Trump is not leaving, they are going to try and remove him via the 25th, and he is more than likely going to invoke the Insurrection Act which could quite conceivably see half of Congress arrested for treason.

At a raucous rally on the eve of Tuesday’s Georgia Senate run-off, President Trump told a throng of cheering #MAGA supporters that he has no intention of throwing in the towel on his Mission: Impossible effort to cling to power.
“They’re not taking this White House. We’re going to fight like hell,” Trump said in the GOP stronghold of Dalton, Georgia.
Trump derided Georgia’s Republican Gov. Brian Kemp and others for failing to deliver the state to him in November, along with Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, whom Trump asked to fudge the results to overturn President-Elect Joe Biden’s win.
“They say they’re Republicans. I really don’t think they can be,” Trump said.
With just a couple of weeks left in his presidency, Trump pointedly told the crowd that he is counting heavily on Pence to somehow reject the results of the Electoral College when he presides over a ceremonial session of Congress Wednesday.
He suggested that he will point the finger at Pence if that effort fails, as it surely will since his Constitutional role is to approve the votes from the states, which have long since certified their results.
“He’s a great guy. Of course, if he doesn’t come through, I won’t like him quite as much,” Trump told the cheering crowd, a comment that echoed his previous lukewarm support for allies before later dumping them.
Trump was supposed to be rallying Georgia Republicans to get behind embattled Sen. Kelly Loeffler and Sen. David Perdue, who face tough reelection fights Tuesday in the much-anticipated run-off vote.
But he drew the biggest cheers for his own effort to overturn his election loss, not urging unity and enthusiasm for the crucial runoffs where control of the Senate is on the line.
Loeffler was greeted with chants of “Stop the Steal” and “Fight for Trump,” an indication that some of his supporters think she hasn’t taken a radical enough stance to prevent Biden from taking office.
Perdue was forced to stay away because he is in quarantine after being in contact with someone who contracted COVID.
