Convicted felon Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto wants you to know he is suffering for your sins.
Pinto, who was convicted yesterday on bribery charges in a plea bargain that say him admitting to attempting to bribe two senior police officers (one the head of Israel’s equivalent of the FBI), told his followers his suffering would save the Jewish people from “a difficult judgment,” adding that “we accept everything with love and the knowledge that the patience we have had in the past years cause a ‘sweetened judgment’ for the Jewish people. These are special days, for me personally and for all of us, and we are always thinking about how we must behave at this time. We must strengthen ourselves for our own sakes and the sakes of those who come after us,” Pinto wrote in a letter to his followers after yesterday’s conviction, Arutz Sheva reported.
“Those who are patient will merit great things, and we have seen this among many of our great rabbis, especially Hillel, the ancient sage upon whose word we rule in many laws in Judaism, who was known as a man of great patience. We must realize that our suffering in recent years are for the benefit of the Jewish people, and will bring about a good result in the end for the entire world,” Pinto continued.
Pinto tried to bribe senior police officer Ephraim Bracha with $200,000 and allegedly did bribe an even more senior police officer, Menashe Arviv, all to get detailed information on the criminal investigation into the massive fraud and embezzlement at the Hazon Yeshaya charity close associates of Pinto ran. Hazon Yeshaya’s top managers allegedly stole millions of dollars of food donations earmarked for poor elderly Holocaust survivors and pocketed the money, some of which – some say most of which – was then used to line Pinto’s pockets.
Without the plea deal, Pinto would have faced more extensive bribery, extortion, obstruction of justice and other charges stemming from his attempted coverup of the fraud – a co that included serious harassment of witnesses against him.
After agreeing to the plea deal last year, Pinto made repeated statements claiming to innocent and railed against police, the government and others who claimed were persecuting him.
The statements violated his plea deal, and three of his top attorneys walked away from him in October, in part because of them. Also after agreeing to the deal, Pinto filed a High Court petition through a human rights group calling for a criminal investigation into the person who accused him. That was viewed a violation of the deal, as well.
After repeated attempts to avoid court dates and after making many claims of serious illness (some of which appear to have unsubstantiated), Pinto finally appeared in court yesterday and admitted his guilt. He was immediately convicted, and under the plea deal – which was allowed to stand despite widespread condemnation of it from the media and from legal experts – is likely to serve no more than one year in prison.

Didn’t have a clue that they believe in any type of “judgment” since they surly don’t act like it, unless this judgment is by the Demiurge, then it makes sense.

This is his chance to save himself by becoming a “denier” and saying, “We all know there were no ‘survivors’ to whom this money was to go. It was money without an owner. By taking it I made it useful to real survivors because I and my entire family, nay, all Jews are eternal victims and therefore eternal survivors.
