Jewish filmmaker says Trump campaign is ‘completely comfortable with the idea that anti-Semitic and racist groups are supporting them’
ed note–in all the parlaying that has taken place this election season with people seizing upon Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner ‘being a Jew’, no one has bothered to consider the alternative, which is that maybe he really isn’t.
Yes, it happens. There are the Gilad Atzmons, Henry Makows, Brother Nathanael Kapners, etc of the world who grew up with all that nonsense but who made the choice to walk away from it all in return for the peaceful, productive life that comes from living in a state of brotherhood with mankind rather than a state of perpetual war. The fact that Trump’s daughter ‘converted’–well, says who? She doesn’t dress/act like an Orthodox Jewess. She wears fashionable clothing, hasn’t shaved her head as Orthodox Jewish women are forced to do, allows herself to be photographed and lives an EXTREMELY vogue, out-front-and-center lifestyle, and therefore, the possibility arises that in fact the entire ‘conversion’ schtick was something done for the purpose of public consumption in the run-up to this presidential election when Trump knew the Jews were going to try and bring him down with all their typical black magic of alleging his ‘anti-Shemitism’.
Either way, judging from Reiner’s own words, it is obvious from a JEWISH perspective that Kushner helping Trump become POTUS was something not viewed as favorable to the aims of Judaism.

American filmmaker Rob Reiner accused President-elect Donald Trump’s Jewish son-in-law of turning his back on his religion.
“I don’t understand Jared Kushner at all. What is he doing? He’s turning his back on his religion and his heritage just so he can make money? I don’t get it. I just can’t wrap my mind around it,” Reiner, who is Jewish, told The Daily Beast in an interview published over the weekend.
Kushner is a Modern Orthodox Jew, and Ivanka Trump converted to Judaism under Orthodox auspices to marry him.
Reiner, who also is a Democrat and publicly supported Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, pointed out that Kushner’s brothers-in-law Eric and Don Jr. were retweeting memes from anti-Semitic websites and welcoming support from anti-Semitic and racist groups.
“The whole time while all those anti-Semitic memes were being passed on throughout the campaign, [Trump] certainly must have known, and his sons Eric and Don Jr. must have known they were retweeting things from anti-Semitic websites,” Reiner said. “Even if you want to cut them all the slack in the world, they have never to this day said, ‘This is absolutely unacceptable and abhorrent that we are being supported by these groups of people.’ They’ve never said it! So they’re completely comfortable with the idea that anti-Semitic and racist groups are supporting them.”
Meanwhile, The Daily Beast also reported that Stephen Bannon, the man Trump appointed as his chief White House strategist, is profiting off of Reiner shows such as “Seinfeld,” after being involved in a deal with his production company Castle Rock Entertainment in the 90s, when he ran a boutique investment bank Bannon & Company.

Very interesting. I wish the late, great Mike Piper were still here to offer his thoughts
I think this is all bullshit. I’m a one-issue guy, and my issue is Palestine. From all the indications I have, Kushner is a full-on political/militant Zionist who has advised and will continue to advise Trump that the Palestinians’ place is firmly, deeply, forever under the bus. I, too, am a Palestinian! Viva Palestine! Ed note–that’s the problem with being a ‘one issue guy/gal’, it leaves you incapacitated when it comes to seeing the bigger picture.
‘1 issue’ folks elected George Bush in 2000 and 2004 because of guns, abortion, etc. Dittoes in 2008 and 2012 when these same ‘1 issue’ folks almost elected John McCain and Romney, moves that would have put us in the lion’s jaws as far as war with Russia goes.
I love the Palestinian people and I grieve over the unprecedented suffering and oppression they have endured now for over a century, but I also know that there is more to this than simply Palestine, and if we as activists are not smart enough to be able to differentiate between political wisdom and what is foolhardy then we are not doing the Palestinians any favors, only digging them deeper into their own misery and including ourselves in the process.
LOL! The ignorant are ignorant of their ignorance. Get a clue Meathead! Don’t you know what your criminal Tribe is guilty of?? I wonder if this ass-wipe was a gleeful participant in the recent Hollywood gala “Friends of the IDF” where these punks donated millions of dollars to the IDF! WOW!
I though there was a law against supporting terrorist organizations!
As part of their war on the Trumps everything about them is being attacked. The logic is if it exists, attack.
I found a photo the other day of Fred Trump donating land in Miami to some group of Jews for a Torah school. A few people who lived in the area spoke of how it enriched their after school lives but most of the comments were automatic assumptions that Trump was Jewish and then moved on to how false Ivanka’s conversion was complete with allegations against the rabbi who did it. The train of thought was… ludicrous and made no sense other than to sow seeds of malice and confusion.
Kushner just might be a semi-enlightened Jew. Or not. Only time will tell. In the meantime, maybe I am getting old, but I am now just preferring to set back, research, and watch how he plays out. So far, other than Israel, nothing about him shouts beware. He may be Jewish, but he ain’t no neocon.
Roberthstiver, I too was pulled more heavily into things due to actions against Palestine by the criminal Jewish entity. However, as one learns more and one’s horizons are broadened, the whole thing gets bigger and bigger and… Palestine becomes just as much a warning as a cause. That sounds callous, but there is so much more to the situation of the Greater Israel Project than the tragedy of Palestine.
