I dont think this is good news at all.
The best thing that can happen is for these countries to leave the Arab World alone. The suffering of the people there will not end like this. I hope Russia will not take the US approach and mimic what they did in Iraq.
Russia is viewed in a more positive manner in the Arab World and this will not help that at all.
