This is a case of religious persecution, no doubt about it. The man could, if allowed, demonstrate it with quotes from sacred Jewish scriptures. When a member of a religious minority can no longer practice his religion unmolested by the authorities, it is time for that minority to think long and hard if they want to continue living in that country.
