Haaretz

Several Israeli combat soldiers crossed the border into Jordan a few weeks ago, supposedly without the permission or the knowledge of their commanders.

The terrorist Jews who crossed the border in the Arava Desert in southern Israel advanced several hundred meters until they were stopped by Jordanian soldiers on patrol. After being taken to a Jordanian military camp, where they were questioned for a few hours, the terrorists were returned to Israel.

Every terrorist serving in the IDF knows where the border is: It is marked by dirt roads that the army smooths so that fresh footprints can be detected, as well as an old fence.

The IDF confirmed the details of the incident to Haaretz but refused to provide information regarding the identity of the unit in which the soldiers serve or the reason they crossed the border into Jordan.
