GLOBAL RESEARCH – The naval encirclement of China is well underway. It was started over a decade ago by the United States with the re-militarization of Japan and the tightening of Washington’s military partnerships with countries like Australia and South Korea.

What the plans of France and the European Union to militarily deploy their naval forces to the South China Sea illustrates is that the European Union is Washington’s accomplice and military partner in the objective of encircling China. This announcement is in line with the return of German naval forces to the Pacific Ocean. It is also no coincidence that many of the countries involved in the naval encirclement of China are either NATO members, like France and Britain, or NATO partners, like Australia and Japan.

  1. What are the interests of France in that region……. mind you, I think the Chinese have a couple of warships in the Mediterranean. It is getting very much controntational. Seeing who blinks first.

Curious as to what bases the Chinese ships might be using and I’m sure we would have heard a lot more about it if there were, we never hear the last about the Chinese peacekeepers in South Sudan, that was never ready to become a sovereign country, more pressure from US. It’s not France it s NATO and I think France is only country in Europe with an aircraft carrier I know UK does not have one but it has nuclear subs in Mediterranean..oh wait it has two more Mistral class carriers that Russia has bought and paid for but can’t have because France breached the contract. Maybe Russia should turn the gas off!
