There was an imam once who came to a lecture and some brothers found out that he left his laptop in his room which was unattended. They decided to remove it lest someone would steal it. Todd Raine always has interesting posts and insights and we would all prefer to deal with such as him then many closed minded and mean hearted others.
Where is the falsehood that Todd has written? Address that.
There was an imam once who came to a lecture and some brothers found out that he left his laptop in his room which was unattended. They decided to remove it lest someone would steal it. The imam was told about this situation however before he began his lecture. Oddly enough he commenced it by berating them and joking about the rules regarding theft in Islam etc. One of the brothers turned to the other and angrily and said,” look I told you we should have not have removed that laptop!” The imam waiting for this moment seized on this teaching opportunity and asked whether they removed it for the Creator’s sake or for his sake. If we do things for the Creator’s sake then it does not matter regarding the censure or the blame of the blamer.
It is good to always review whom we are trying to please.
