This one is so in your face, it is almost impossible to ignore. It is so huge I can barely wrap my head around it.
Let me see. You fund terrorists who destroy some of the world’s most important historical sites, and then you choose among the most famous, the one dedicated to the most ancient and depraved of rituals, from one of the most depraved civilizations of all time, the time of the Tower of Babel and a primitive attempt at the New World Order….
According to Snopes:
“While it is true replicas of Palmyra’s Temple of Baal arch are being constructed for temporary display in New York and London, the project solely involves reproducing the structure’s arch and not creating a functional building. Moreover, interest in reproducing the demolished antiquity is archeological in nature, not religious.”
I beg to differ. I read about this a few days ago and my hackles were up, little red flags waving madly. This is, they say, archaeological in nature, not religious.
Meanwhile, the British are swearing that they need to get to Palmyra “to do what we do best” (chutzpah anyone?) and help restore the ruins that were destroyed.
