ed note–before all the usual suspects react with all their typical histrionics (as indeed they already are in various fora) it needs to be kept in the forefront of everyone’s minds that packing up and pulling out an army is not something that takes place in a day, a week, or a month. Furthermore, all those now chirping the usual nonsense that Trump is ‘backtracking’ on his decision and utilizing it as prima facie evidence that he is ‘owned by Djooz’ have not yet answered the basic question as to why he would have made this decision to remove the US militarily from Syria to begin with if indeed he is only there to do Israel’s bidding, who–as various news reports have made clear since his announcement–is not in the least manner pleased with his decision.
But hey, as the old saying goes, ‘If it feels good, just DO IT’, and by all means, do not consider for a moment the primary, secondary and tertiary side effects that arise from the temporary satisfaction of the emotional indulgence of adding your voice to those trying to re-start WWIII.

“The criticism from General McChrystal, who commanded American-led troops in Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010, echoed longstanding denunciations by former senior intelligence officials, who have warned that Mr. Trump’s approach to national security is reckless.”
A little something on McChrystal. By the way, Michael Hastings is dead.
