ed note–yes, another movie clip being used to make a point.

In the scene from the film Hunt for Red October, it has just been learned that Marko Ramius is headed towards America with a new type of super-stealth submarine loaded to the gills with nukes, and that the Russian fleet is looking for this sub with orders to sink it. The obvious conclusion to which all the assembled brass arrive (and for perfectly understandable reasons) is that Ramius is planning to launch his nukes at America. Jack Ryan offers another explanation, a stretch, for sure, but one which turns out to be the right one by movie’s end.

The point is this–Trump is making all sorts of Neo-Con noises–before, duing and after the election–including his appointments and the sweet nothings he is whispering into the ears of the organized Jewish crowd, but that might be just for show.

Yes, it’s a gamble, but one worth taking, considering the stakes that are involved, which–just like in Red October–involve a war between 2 nuclear superpowers.

  1. Yep, ‘window dressing’. We can speculate to high heaven until he takes office. It’s just human instinct.
I happen to agree with the editor.
However, there is always a small, tiny chance that we get the old ‘bait and switch’ treatment.
Never underestimate the power of OJI.

  2. I agree Mark that sometimes you have to “think outside the box” and your theory is sound.
Ramius however was disillusioned by the “evil empire” and when the Soviets had the edge he turned TRAITOR to Russia (get out clause being he was Lithuanian by birth and not Russian therefore he is not a bad bastard and we can relate to him) The evil soviets had annexed Lithuania you see so they had it coming!
He defected and surrendered the submarine to the peace loving US of A and the world was safe yet again.
He really should have been hunted down like a dog and sent to the bottom of the Atlantic.
I enjoyed this film when it first came out but i can see it for the propaganda piece that it is now.
Please don’t take offense as your hunch is probably correct, just using this film was not the best example when you know a little more about it.
ed note–no offense taken and I agree-Ramius was a traitor to his nation.

  3. Not the best analogy. As Trump said “I’m not buying it”. He’s a phony just like Clinton, and the argument that’s he’s better than Clinton doesn’t fly. They are two of a kind.
ed note–agreed, he is a phony. As much as he champions being ‘anti-establishment, the fact is that he is worked with/within the establishment for the entirety of his business career. His morals may be questionable, he says nice things about Israel, etc, etc, etc…
But that is not the argument being made here. The thesis/theory that has been posited here and towards which we have been working is that he represents a shift within a certain sector of the ruling establishment that intends to alter business as usual–not because it i the right thing to do, not because it is the ‘moral’ or ‘Godly’ thing do to, but rather because they recognize that they stand to lose a considerable amount of their personal fortune and power if organized Jewry is given a freehand to continue doing things as they have been.
Nearly a year later, I honestly cannot fathom why/how within a ‘movement’ that prides itself on its ability to think outside the box that this very simple concept can’t seem to be grasped by so many. I guess it has something to do with that old saying concerning teaching an old dog new tricks, or perhaps it is the emotional aspect to it all, that the ‘jews control everything’ paradigm is something that gives its adherents a certain amount of comfort knowing, and being forced by circumstances/data to depart from that, even if only briefly, causes a certain amount of anxiety? I don’t know, but Ill tell you one thing–it really is a pain in the ass being forced to explain these things over and over again to people who should know better than the average dolt in America that things are never always exactly what they appear to be.
