Konrad, That video is most moving. I have always felt that Dresden was purposefully allowed to fill up since it was a “safe” haven, a home of the arts. A great draw for refugees and crowding the city to maximum capacity. All the better for a blood sacrifice by fire although the usual occult observances do not seem to apply for February 16. Let the city fill then just sit back and destroy by fire.
An interesting note. You used the crying children images by Jill Greenberg. SUITABLY. The popularity of these images has always disturbed me no matter what the photographer has to say about candies and swiftly ended tears. The message is very pedophilic in nature ~ why are they not clothed? Why are they always shown in great despair? Your creative application of them gives these images true validity.
