Ban Ki-moon inclined to reject recommendation to define Jewish state as entity committing violations against children

Times of Israel

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon indicated that the international body would not include Israel in its list of entities committing “grave violations against children,” officials at the UN stated Friday.

According to Reuters, the officials said Ban is inclined to reject a recommendation by UN special representative of the secretary-general for children and armed conflict Leila Zerrougui, who called to place both Israel and Gaza-based terrorist group Hamas on the list following the past summer’s 50-day war between the two sides. Zerrougui accused the IDF of carrying out attacks on schools and hospitals in the Strip during the war.

UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric stressed that Ban had not yet come to a final decision concerning Israel ahead of the scheduled publication of a report on the alleged violations.

The 50-day war is said to have killed more than 2,100 Palestinians, many of them civilians, according to Palestinian sources in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip; and 72 Israelis, mostly soldiers. Israel maintains that about half of the Palestinian dead were combatants and blames Hamas for all civilian casualties, since it embedded its war machine in residential areas.

Israel launched the operation in Gaza last summer in what it said was a mission to halt relentless rocket fire by Hamas terrorists. Hamas and other terror groups fired over 4,5000 projectiles at Israel during the war, and dug tunnels under the border to carry out attacks.

Hamas seized control of Gaza in a violent coup against the Palestinian Authority in 2007. An Islamist terror group, it is committed to destroying Israel.

  1. As if Israel would make that list….

We know it should… but let’s be real here….

I am finding it frustrating at the disconnect when it comes to Israel. Today, looking for cartoons, I was inundated with cartoons regarding FIFA and the scandal situation. Even Middle Eastern cartoonists did not see the connect to Israel and the FIFA “scandal” and all aim their scathing bite for corruption, not a one touches the matter of the Israeli “war” on Palestinian soccer and their players.

NO ONE … or very few of us… see the disconnect that is so obvious once you know the truths.

It is a shame that the world fusses more about the soccer disconnect than the children’s rights issues….

Another disconnect. Kind of like all the “save the bunny” fanatics when there are dying children….

  2. Remember that the UN was founded in 1942 explicit as an organization to defend the capitalbolshevism JWO. Combatting the anti-usury Axis powers. And to then cement jewish owned and operated high-finance as the world owner, pulling the strings of the various ‘Multi-polar world’ powers.

  3. Another organization that ruins whatever credibility it might have had with that good ol’ israel double standard. Nothing israel does is ever allowed to be judged as wrong by any official consensus. No wonder everyone is disgusted by jstate and their bought off AmeriKan patron.

  4. The caption sums up who Ban Ki Moon works for as he sure as hell does not work for ALL the Member States of the UN which like everything else these days should be re named as United Nation of Usrael- he is a weak, ineffectual useless dull man with no human emotion, no charisma , nothing but a worn out Tool for his Zionist Handlers who put him into office as he proved to be ‘manageable’- a successfully controlled and programmed subject.
