When I look at that photo it reminds me that when I was growing up and was finishing college most of my friends were Jewish. I went to the wedding of my Jewish friend (who married a fellow Jew) and at the wedding I was given a yarmulke to wear. I think I felt uncomfortable at the time, which was added to by the fact that everyone there was a Jew.
I don’t think I thought about this at the time, but I think it is extremely nervy of Jews (which they are generally of course – nervy) to expect all the men and boys attending a Jewish wedding to wear a yarmulke. It’s hard for me to imagine anyone refusing to do so and then attending the wedding. I think it would be very uncomfortable. When I’ve attended Christian weddings there is nothing overtly religious anyone attending is expected to do. Can anyone imagine attending a Christian wedding and giving everyone a cross to wear or something similar?
I’ve always believed that most jew lovers don’t even know one personally.
And the united states used to make fun of Baghdad Bob. What arrogant fools!
Peter ,all Gentiles must wear the Jew beanie because ,” every knee shall bend” , and ” Thou shall have no other Gods but Jews/Yahweh “.
The Jews would recoil with horror to wear a cross.
He is a ” Pagan God” to them.
” May the blood of this man,be on us and our children forever”.
As for Turkey. The Jews fun them ,as they do NATO\Germany.
I will never forget, my father (God rest him) years ago, refusing to put the beanie on at a mixed wedding. We’d known the family for years. The daughter of the couple was someone I’d grown up with. The family had moved to Florida and she ended up marrying a Jew. I was sad about that and at the time my parents were absolutely shocked about it. At the time, I was a bit uncomfortable about my father not putting on the yarmulke, but now, having grown quite a bit older, I know my father was correct about everything he ever told me. I miss him terribly.
