TIMES OF ISRAEL – A US congresswoman has asked the State Department to investigate whether the killing of two Palestinian teenagers by Israeli security forces last year would preclude Israel from receiving military aid under American law.

In a letter to the State Department officials last week, Minnesota representative Betty McCollum said the deaths of Nadeem Siam Nawara and Mohammad Mahmoud Odeh in May 2014 demonstrated the “brutal system of occupation that devalues and dehumanizes Palestinian children.”

The two Palestinian youths, aged 16 and 17, were killed during clashes between Palestinian protesters and Israeli troops outside the West Bank city of Ramallah during a May 2014 protest for Nakba Day, an annual commemoration of Palestinian displacement following the establishment of the State of Israel.

“It is time for a strong and unequivocal statement of US commitment to the human rights of Palestinian children living under Israeli occupation,” McCollum wrote in the August 18 letter, which was released to the public on Monday.

McCollum urged State Department officials to determine whether the killing of the teens was in violation of the Leahy Act, a US human rights law that prohibits the State and Defense departments from providing military assistance to foreign military units that violate human rights with impunity.

In a surveillance video posted by the Palestine division of Defense for Children International, a global NGO, appears to show one teen being shot as he walked by a gas station after the clashes had subsided. The second Palestinian teen appears to have been shot shortly afterwards.

The IDF initially maintained that only nonlethal dispersal methods were used by troops during the Nakba Day demonstration. A senior Defense Ministry official also told The Times of Israel at the time that the video of the incident had likely been doctored.

An autopsy performed by Palestinian and Israeli pathologists in June, however, found that Nawara was almost certainly killed by live fire, most likely from an IDF weapon. An Israeli military investigation into the shooting, carried out following the autopsy, found that an Israeli border policeman had illegally used live ammunition during the protest.

A Jerusalem District Court indicted the 21-year-old border policeman in December on manslaughter charges.

  1. THE JEWISH CLAIM TO PALESTINE???!!!
Christians have overlooked the fact that Jesus was born and lived in PALESTINE! JESUS WAS A PALESTINIAN! The Jews hated Jesus and tried their utmost to kill him! That is why they want to eliminate all Palestinians by killing them off only because of their hatred of Jesus who exposed their evil deeds and cursed them!
The Jewish claim is based on the Taurât (Torah) of 916 AD* and so we examine to see if this claim is valid or not. *MANUSCRIPTS. There are no very ancient MMS of the Hebrew Bible, and of such as have come down to us all belong to the same family or recension. The earliest dated Hebrew manuscript known was written in 9.16 A.D. [The Holy Bible.1959 Edition. Virtue & Company Limited, London. Edited by: Reverend John P. Connell. (M.A.; S.T.D). Published with the approbation of HIS EMINENCE SAMUEL CARDINAL STRITCH, Archbishop of Chicago]*
Chap 5- verse 78. “Curses were pronounced on those among the Children of Israel who rejected Faith, by the tongue of David and of Jesus the son of Mary: because they disobeyed and persisted in excesses.”
It is claimed by the Jews that they have a lineage with the Prophet Abraham and the covenant was made between God and Abraham that his children from Isaac, which will inherit the land of Palestine. The Jews very conveniently overlook the fact that Abraham and his children were not Jews, nor were there Jews in existence during his lifetime, and Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, as there were no Jews born yet!

  2. Moses must have spoken the Egyptian Arabic Language, as he was brought up in Pharaoh’s house and the Taurat was revealed in the Egyptian Arabic language. Even today, more than 6,000 years later all Egyptians, Christians and Muslims speak Arabic.
The Protestant New Bible Dictionary concurs:
“A further implication is that Moses would have an Egyptian education, one of the best available in his day.” The Protestant New Bible Dictionary 1988, p. 305.
‘Pharaoh would never have spoken with him in the language of the slaves!’ That is undisputed even by the Protestants, whose Old Testament (produced in the 16th Century) which the Jews use. Even if we want to agree that Prophet Moses spoke “Hebrew” (which is impossible due to the evidence already submitted) then we must also agree that the communication with Pharaoh must have been in the Egyptian language, and that the message that was revealed to him by God must have been in the language of Pharaoh, i.e. Egyptian Arabic. Therefore, there is no ORIGINAL Taurât (Old Testament) in the world! One must keep in mind that Prophet Moses’ brother Haroon must also have spoken the Egyptian language. The Children of Israel were the slaves of the Pharaohs for more than 400 years. Consequently, it could therefore have been possible that they could no longer have spoken their own mother tongue, which could have been the reason that they had to speak some dialect of the Egyptians. It is important to know that Hebrew is a Greek word (See Peake’s Commentary on the Bible 1919, p. 34; and also stated in the old Oxford Dictionaries) and not a word belonging to a language of the Children of Israel. This leaves us with the question, as to whether Moses could have been the author of any part of the Hebrew Old Testament.
According to John Allegro in his book – ‘The Secretes of the Dead Sea Scrolls’, he states:
The ‘Sons of Darkness’ were the offspring of the Greeks who raped the women of the Children of Israel. After the (pagan) Greeks caused the rejection of those people who came into existence as a result of their raping, who were known as the ‘Sons of Darkness’; then came the (pagan) Romans – another nation of the (pagan) Europeans, who then also raped the women of the ‘Sons of Darkness’, and their offspring became known as the ‘Jews.’) (Deut: 23 -2: A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD)

  3. Hmmm
US law has precluded granting Israel aid for a very long time, so this line of inquiry is hardly a novel one. Bravo to the Lady in Congress who really does believe in truth Justice and the American rule of law as it applies to Israel and has the guts to stand and say it. Or put another way; the US Congress is full of treasonous scum who sold their souls and fealty to Israel.

  4. The United States for years has sold weapons to countries with terrible human rights abuses. Just recently, The U.S. has been selling weapons to Viet Nam which obviously has a history of human rights abuses, as one example. Saudi Arabia & Pakistan are two more examples of countries that have terrible human rights records, but still receive weapons from the United States.
When Obama met with second in command from Viet Nam, in Washington District of Columbia, he reiterated that Nam must make some changes in this area (wink – wink).
I hope that she is not using the murder of these two Palestinians for political purposes.

  5. What political purposes must she use in this sea of corruption, lies and deception? all of our elected officials in Washington are just filthy puppets of the Zionist cabal. The Zionist mafia are going to try to eat her alive. Some one needs to start opening peoples eyes, soon will be more and more, lets just hope this lady accomplishes something, she has been brave enough to say what she said.
