ed note–please note a similar essay written after the destruction of Iraq and tying it to Purim as well.

An evil man rises to power with a grand plan to eliminate the Jews, until a twist of fate—a miracle!—happens, and the evil man dies; the Jews survive.

Who was that evil man? Well, it depends on what time period you’re talking about. Turns out there were some eerie similarities between Haman, the villain of the Purim story, and Stalin, the villain of Communist Russia.

Just days after Purim in March 1953—the holiday in which we mark Mordechai and Esther’s rescue of the Jews from Haman’s plot to falsely accuse and slaughter them from Persia—Stalin was reaching peak anti-Semitism with a plot of his own: to rid Russia’s 3 million Jews through mass pogroms and deportations to the inhabitable arctic regions of Siberia.  The day before he was to kick off this plan with the “Doctors’ Trial,” in which six Jewish physicians were to be (falsely) tried for attempting to poison him and other Soviet leaders, Stalin “collapsed in a fit of rage,” and to the relief of Jews everywhere, kicked the bucket.

Fortuitous coincidence, or something more? Hasidic lore tells of the Rebbe partaking in some unusual rituals during the Purim farbrengen—joyous gathering—that year, like forming a triangle with his hands and chanting “hoo-ra”—he is evil—three times.

Whether it was a Purim miracle, or pure luck, the moral of the story is just the same: They tried to kill us, we survived, let’s eat.

  1. Hmm, is this author referring to Birobidzhan or somewhere else? Stalin prepared the semi-autonomous oblast of Birobidzhan for all the Jews, the size of Switzerland, and that place still exists today, where all the Jews in the world could easily live, and the Jews who already live there, they still speak Yiddish there, and Putin maintains the existence of the place, though he was recently in the news for sacking a senior official there for some reason or another, along with many other officials in other places in Russia.
Stalin was named by Jews around the time of WWII as one of the ‘three sons of Israel’ (along with Roosevelt and Churchill) who would destroy Germany for the Jews, so they are obviously a bit paranoid or deceptive about Stalin here, typical of Jews, endlessly paranoid, they will kill any of their own at any time because they think everyone is out to get them and they just never see the boundaries.
Maybe the Jews, knowing full well the genocidal atrocities that Stalin had perpetrated for Jewish Communism to ensure the creation of Israel, and to ensure that Germany would be smashed to leave the rest of Europe open to criminal terrorist takeover by the Russian Jewish SPECTRE of the time, decided to mask his involvement with the Jews due to the nature of those atrocities committed by him in their cause, so actually proclaimed themselves victims of his instead, a typical Jewish trick to throw people off their scent.

  2. Stalin was poisoned by a jewess insider. There was white foam coming out of his mouth as reported by witnesses. Poisoning has been a favorite method of assassination of the jews throughout the centuries. Poisoning of a village’s wells in Old Europe comes to mind.
Once the stupid “shabbos goy” has done the jews dirty work for them, they must be eliminated to insure the rest of the world never finds out in case the “goy” happens to get a conscience some day and decides to tell all.
“Dead men tell no tales”, as the truism goes.
“Never trust a jew, for he will eventually betray you.”

  3. Mark, the link to the “similar essay” takes us to a draft and not to any article/page.
