I wonder how the Palestinian submission to FIFA to have Israel expelled is progressing. Israel deliberately prevented some Palestinian players getting to the Asia Cup in Australia earlier this year. Not long after that submission the campaign to oust Blatta suddenly arose and became very prominent in the media. Let’s face it, the centralized power of FIFA is a real problem. So too is Israel’s deliberate harassment of Palestinian footballers. Let’s hope that both issues get dealt with constructively. No footballer – including Jewish players – deserve to be hit in the head by a flying bottle. That can maim for life; that can kill.
Israel deserves to be publicly humiliated for spitefully preventing Palestinian footballers joining their team at the Asia Cup.
Don’t let FIFA neglect its duty about that shameful victimization.
