CHRISTOPHER LEE

Sir Christopher Lee was an amazing actor.  But beyond his acting prowess, it turns out Christopher Lee was a pretty amazing human, period. According to family lore , he was a descendent of Charlemagne on his father’s side, and of the infamous Borgias on his mother’s side. He sang on multiple heavy metal albums in his 80s and 90s. He served in the Special Operations Executive during World War II (also called Winston Churchill’s “Secret Army”).

THE FORWARD

Sir Christopher Lee, who died on Sunday at 93, was an amazing actor.

Over the course of his half-century career, he played Count Dracula nine times. He starred as a villain in a Bond film (“The Man With the Golden Gun”). Younger audiences may remember him as Saruman from “Lord of the Rings.” (Or, Count Dooku from “Star Wars Episode II: The Clone Wars,” but we don’t talk about that.)

Oh, and he also hunted Nazis.

According to The Telegraph , Lee spent time after the war working for the Central Registry of War Crimes, tasked with finding and prosecuting Nazis. This work took him concentrations camps all over Europe, including Dachau. “We were given dossiers of what they’d done and told to find them, interrogate them as much as we could and hand them over to the appropriate authority,” he told The Times in 2009. “We saw these concentration camps. Some had been cleaned up. Some had not.”

This experience reportedly helped him to craft his role as the treacherous Saruman the White in Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.

In a behind-the-scenes interview on the “Lord of the Rings” set, Jackson revealed how he learned about Lee’s past during a particularly bloody scene.

“When Wormtongue rises up and comes up behind Saruman to stab him, of course it was my job as director to talk to Christopher Lee and to explain to him what I wanted, so I started to go into this long explanation about what sort of sound he should make when he got stabbed,” he explained.

Lee: “I seem to recall that I did say to Peter, ‘Have you any idea what kind of noise happens when somebody’s stabbed in the back? Because I do.”

Jackson: “He proceeded to talk about some sort of very clandestine part of World War II. He seemed to have expert knowledge of exactly the sort of noise that they make and so I just sort of didn’t push the subject any further.”

RIP to the most badass of actors. You’ll be missed.

  1. So he worked with the Registry of war crimes AFTER the war ended but he knew “what sound a nazi makes when stabbed in the back”?!? That statement is troublesome on so many levels it is hard to decide which to start with.
    — Was he an investigator, an assassin, an assassin posing as an investigator or a wannabe assassin boasting of what he knows would make him an “amazing human” in the eyes of is paymasters?
    — Why would he boast of witnessing an assassination of what was obviously an unarmed prisoner of war?
    — Why would he think a “NazI’ makes different sound when stabbed in the back than any other victim of “amazing humans” like him?

  2. Lee, another hate-filled Jewish psycho, well, Borgias were of Jewish bloodline, according to researchers anyway, the ones who were not trying to cover it up, and he always looked Jewish, with that long face of his, and Lee is a name often used by English Jews.
How typical of him to star in horror films, and to be involved with heavy metal music, and have been selected to hunt ‘Nazis’ for Jew Churchill, an obvious job for Jews who could certainly be trusted to keep the lid on the real truth, obviously conspiring to fit them up for imaginary crimes, which he, no doubt, after interrogating them, would quickly have come to realize that they were, yet he carried on committing the crimes that he did in still wrongly assuming their guilt and making them look guilty, just as horror film director Alfred Hitchcock did, when he was recruited to make propaganda films in the camps after the war.
Jews think this world is just like a movie show for them, and they love to be admired and famous, and love to be actors, musicians and so on, after all, this entire world is all their show, and no one else’s, as far as they believe, as far as their blinkered vision permits them to see.

  3. Lee was a Jew,and that “secret army”,of the evil Churchill killed, many people AFTER THE WAR. Men,and women. Germans, and other Europeans who opposed the International Jews,or even bystanders, on the drunken, senile PMs personal orders, and to his chortling glee. Lee was a monster.in real life,as we was in films.

  4. Mothman. Just gotta say. I grew up with that name and there is not a trace of Jewry in my family ! heavy Roman Catholic for centuries on the French and Irish sides. Just saying. Lee and its many variations on that theme ~ Leah, Leigh, Li, Lee, Lai, etc etc etc ~ is the most common surname on the planet.

  5. @ nooralhaqiqa
I should really have added that while Lee is a name of English origin, it is a name commonly used by Jews. Jews often adopt typically non-Jewish names, like Carter, Baker,Taylor, White, Brown, Black, Green, Wood, and so on, though at the same time, for some daft reason, they often just change one Jewish name for another; I guess some of them just can’t let their Jewish origins be hidden fully, leaving just enough to show still, so that others in the know can secretly know to bond with them. Your name is fully redeemed.
